Does your organization do wilderness stewardship? Do you partner with the Forest Service? Do you know what “WSP” stands for?
If you can answer yes to these three questions than the NWSA Wilderness Stewardship Performance Grants for Summer 2017 may be your ticket to additional funding.
Wilderness Stewardship Performance (WSP) will guide much of the work that the Forest Service and its volunteer-based wilderness stewardship partner organizations do in the years ahead – not only the goals, but the money to support them!
NWSA, in partnership with the US Forest Service, is making a third round of WSP Grants available for summer field season work supporting WSP activities for the period from May 2017 to September 2017.
Information on this grant cycle can be found on the NWSA website at www.wildernessalliance.org. Applications begin Monday, January 16th, and end March 10th, 2017. Grant awards are expected by March 30th, 2017.
Approximately $180,000 is available during this round of grants, so grant sizes between $2,000 -$20,000 would be typical. No grant it too small however if it contributes to WSP scoring.
